Subspec combines mission design, orbit determination, atmospheric sensing, crew systems, remote vehicles, field logistics, and operational medicine. Plans are evaluated against the interval in which outside correction is unavailable, not the interval in which it is convenient.

Engagements are organized as bounded work packages with named evidence, review, and operating responsibilities. Public summaries do not identify sponsoring organizations.
