The role
What you will be responsible for.
- Perform electromagnetic, thermal, and structural analysis through normal and off-normal states.
- Define quench detection and energy extraction requirements.
- Support cold testing, commissioning, and failure review.
Required qualifications
- Degree in electrical, mechanical, nuclear, or applied physics discipline.
- Five years with superconducting magnets or comparable high-energy systems.
- Experience with coupled multiphysics analysis.
Preferred experience
- HTS conductor experience.
- Cryogenic test and instrumentation background.
Operating conditions
High magnetic fields and cryogenic hazards.
Implanted ferromagnetic devices may preclude access to assigned areas.
