The role
What you will be responsible for.
- Operate optical, microwave, and transfer-standard systems across campus reference points.
- Develop uncertainty budgets for records assembled after asynchronous acquisition.
- Investigate ordering ambiguities without modifying original instrument evidence.
Required qualifications
- PhD or equivalent experience in physics, electrical engineering, or metrology.
- Hands-on experience with precision timing or frequency systems.
- Strong statistical treatment of correlated uncertainty.
Preferred experience
- Optical-clock or time-transfer experience.
- Experience with distributed scientific facilities.
Operating conditions
Occasional overnight comparison runs.
Recorded event order may be revised after formal reconciliation.
