The role
What you will be responsible for.
- Design retrievals with explicit beam, geometry, and environmental limits.
- Plan field comparisons and maintain instrument provenance.
- Distinguish measured radial components from inferred environmental motion.
Required qualifications
- PhD or equivalent experience in atmospheric science, remote sensing, physics, or electrical engineering.
- Experience with radar, lidar, radiometry, or passive optical sensing.
- Scientific Python or comparable analysis experience.
Preferred experience
- Doppler weather radar.
- Multi-instrument retrieval or field-campaign leadership.
Operating conditions
Field travel in severe weather environments.
