The role

What you will be responsible for.

  • Design retrievals with explicit beam, geometry, and environmental limits.
  • Plan field comparisons and maintain instrument provenance.
  • Distinguish measured radial components from inferred environmental motion.

Required qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent experience in atmospheric science, remote sensing, physics, or electrical engineering.
  • Experience with radar, lidar, radiometry, or passive optical sensing.
  • Scientific Python or comparable analysis experience.

Preferred experience

  • Doppler weather radar.
  • Multi-instrument retrieval or field-campaign leadership.

Operating conditions

Field travel in severe weather environments.
