The role
What you will be responsible for.
- Qualify in vehicle systems, robotics, expedition medicine, survival, and scientific operations.
- Participate in isolation, pressure, neutral-buoyancy, and closed-habitat evaluations.
- Serve as an operator and research subject during integrated mission simulations.
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree or equivalent operational experience in engineering, physical science, biological science, medicine, or aviation.
- Three years of progressively responsible professional experience.
- Ability to meet flight medical and human-performance standards.
Preferred experience
- Test pilot, submariner, expedition, EVA, or analog-mission background.
- Professional proficiency in more than one language.
Operating conditions
Extended travel, confinement, irregular sleep, and hazardous training.
Mission fitness, crew status, and return eligibility are evaluated separately.
