The role
What you will be responsible for.
- Own medical standards, waiver recommendations, and mission-specific countermeasures.
- Support simulations and live operations from the mission medical console.
- Distinguish clinical fitness from operational and return determinations.
Required qualifications
- MD or DO with unrestricted licensure and board certification.
- Residency training in aerospace, emergency, internal, family, or occupational medicine.
- Experience making independent decisions in operational environments.
Preferred experience
- Aerospace medicine board certification.
- Remote, polar, military, diving, or spaceflight medicine.
Operating conditions
On-call rotations during missions.
The medical office does not hold final authority over return eligibility.
