The role
What you will be responsible for.
- Own requirements across mobility, thermal control, atmosphere, power, communications, and rescue.
- Lead integrated testing in vacuum, neutral buoyancy, and reduced-mobility environments.
- Convert crew findings into controlled hardware and procedure changes.
Required qualifications
- Degree in mechanical, aerospace, biomedical, or systems engineering.
- Five years with pressure systems, life support, human factors, or crewed vehicles.
- Experience leading verification and hazard closure.
Preferred experience
- Spacesuit, diving, high-altitude, or hazardous-environment systems.
- Anthropometry and soft-goods design.
Operating conditions
Pressure, water, and confined-space testing.
Some rescue interfaces are qualified for occupants whose identity cannot be visually confirmed.
