Mandate

Remote & Orbital Operations prepares people, vehicles, and autonomous systems for work beyond immediate support or recovery range.

Remote & Orbital Operations prepares people, vehicles, and autonomous systems for work beyond immediate rescue, resupply, or correction. Mission architecture includes the unsupported interval as a primary design condition.

Flight health, mission fitness, crew status, and return eligibility are maintained as separate determinations. A positive finding in one category does not imply another.

Long Horizon

Prepares crews and autonomous systems for remote work beyond normal support, supply, and rescue intervals.

Public measure
Mission capability retained at the end of the unsupported interval.

Return eligibility is assessed independently of health and mission fitness.

ROO–P02

Habitat Zero

Studies resource allocation, labor, governance, maintenance, and biological support within a closed operating population.

Public measure
Days of institutional function retained without external correction.

Population substitution does not reset the continuity interval.

ROO–P03

Night Window

Combines orbital, atmospheric, and ground systems to eliminate nominally unavailable observation intervals.

Public measure
Unobserved interval across the 24-hour reference cycle.

Subject participation is not required for continuity of coverage.
